School Leadership

Sacramento Waldorf School is a 501(c)3 non-profit independent school serving children from Pre-Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade supported by a threefold-governance model consisting of a Board of Trustees, College of Teachers, and Administration. These three governing entities work collaboratively to support our unique and comprehensive Waldorf education.

The Board of Trustees (BoT) oversees the school’s overall fiscal, legal, and structural health.

The College of Teachers (CoT) oversees instructional theory and practice.

The Administrators (Admin) oversee daily operations.

The school’s Steering Committee supports timely decision-making and communications across the three governing entities. The Steering Committee serves as a central leadership team that includes representatives from the Administration, College of Teachers, and Board of Trustees.

Founded in 1959, our school is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA), and a full member of the Waldorf Early Childhood Association of North America (WECAN).
