Community Life

At Sacramento Waldorf School, supportive relationships are formed between community members, fostering healthy connections at every stage of human development.

At the heart of our community life are our school’s values. We all strive to model healthy and responsible relationships that support the learning, working, and growth of all children and adolescents at our school. From Waldorf 101 Talks, seasonal festivals, and grade-specific events to peer mentoring, community service, and restorative justice circles, we seek to cultivate a rich, responsive community life that embodies a health-creating social ethic.

As a self-administered independent school, we seek active community participation in the life and development of our school community. Parents are encouraged to join our Parent Guild and Athletics Booster Club as well as volunteer as parent representatives on a number of Board of Trustee and Administrative committees. Please reach out to Andrew May, Communications Director, to find out more about committee participation.

“A healthy social life is found when, in the mirror of each soul, the whole community finds its reflection, and when, in the whole community, the virtue of each one is living.” - Rudolf Steiner
