Sacramento Waldorf School seeks a Student Support Manager to oversee and guide student support services across PreK–12. This role works collaboratively with teachers, administrators, families, and outside specialists to ensure students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally in a supportive and inclusive environment.
The Student Support Manager (SSM) oversees the Student Support Committee using Kim John Payne’s Three Streams framework (MTSS). The SSM coordinates academic, social-emotional, and behavioral supports; manages documentation; liaises with public school IEP systems; tracks data and reporting; and fosters positive family interactions. The SSM develops and supports learning plans in collaboration with teachers, parents, and outside providers but does not provide direct therapeutic or instructional services. The role also serves as a Title IX liaison and participates in committee leadership.
Education and Related Work Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Experience in an educational setting; special education credential preferred.

Sacramento Waldorf School seeks a warm, reliable, and attentive Classroom Assistant to support our Lower Grade classes. This position is ideal for someone who loves working with children, enjoys being part of a collaborative team, and feels inspired by Waldorf education’s focus on whole-child development.
Assistants play a meaningful role in creating a nurturing, structured, and inclusive classroom environment while supporting the teacher’s leadership and the daily rhythm of the school day.
The Classroom Assistant works closely with the class teacher to support students academically, socially, and emotionally throughout the morning portion of the school day. Responsibilities include helping with transitions and routines, supporting small-group or individual instruction, supervising recess and snack, and reinforcing classroom expectations and social-emotional learning strategies.
The ideal candidate brings warmth, presence, patience, and strong communication skills. This position does not involve independent curriculum design or lesson planning, but instead supports the teacher in maintaining a calm, organized, and positive learning environment.
Hours: 20 hours per week.
Schedule: Weekdays during the academic year (8am to 12pm).

The Grades Teacher is responsible for delivering a developmentally aligned Waldorf curriculum to an assigned class in Grades 1–8. This position includes the planning and teaching of daily Main Lesson blocks, core academics, and integrated artistic activities such as storytelling, movement, music, and visual arts. The Grades Teacher maintains an orderly, rhythmical, and supportive classroom environment and provides differentiated instruction based on student needs.
The role requires consistent communication with parents, collaboration with specialty teachers and Student Support, and active participation in faculty meetings, festivals, professional development, and community events.
