  • The Meristem Airbnb housing option:

Our neighboring school with dorms is offering a special rate of $60 a day to Sacramento Waldorf School’s Art of Teaching students. Some may remember this housing, on the former Rudolf Steiner College grounds. There are two buildings with six bedrooms in each building, for a total of 12 rooms. Each building has a small living area, kitchen, and dining space. These accommodations are very basic, with twin beds and two bathrooms in each building. The convenience cannot be beat, as it offers air conditioning and is next door to the Sacramento Waldorf School campus: a quick walk to class each morning. If you would like more information or are interested in reserving housing at the Meristem Airbnb, please send an email to artofteaching@sacwaldorf.org.

Airbnb: We also recommend searching for an Airbnb in the Fair Oaks, CA area. Many people have found rooms and guest houses–some with a pool, and sometimes a whole house. These can be good options whether traveling solo or coming with multiple people from your school. Website: Airbnb.com

Neighboring Homes: We have reached out to our Waldorf community to see if anyone is interested in offering space in their home. This has been successful in the past and most homes are relatively close to our school and usually less expensive than a hotel. If you are interested in looking at our list of neighboring home options, please send an email to artofteaching@sacwaldorf.org.

Hotel: If you prefer a hotel, we recommend either of the hotels listed below. They are both located off Hwy 50 and Sunrise Boulevard. It is a 10-minute drive to Sacrameno Waldorf School.
