The Extended Care program is for students of Sacramento Waldorf School in kindergarten through grade 8. Extended Care includes rest care for kindergarten and after care for all ages. Extended Care programs operate after classes on school days only, including half days. Extended Care is not offered during vacation periods; in-service days; conference days in November; or Teachers’ Conference week in February.
Kindergarten students have Rest Care followed by After Care. First Grade students have After Care beginning with story time from 1:30 – 2:00pm. The First Grade students will have outdoor play in warm months and library or indoor play during inclement weather. Students in kindergarten through grade 8 may not be on school premises unsupervised after 3:30pm. Lower school students who are on campus after 3:30pm will go to Before Snack Extended Care. This care time is from 3:30 – 4:00pm. At 3:40, children who are not directly supervised by a parent or guardian are signed into After Care, and parents are charged the After Care daily rate.
