High School Profile
Waldorf Education fosters a questioning and striving intellect, as well as a life-long love of learning. The Sacramento Waldorf School offers a rigorous academic and art infused curriculum designed to educate the entire human being; mind, body, and heart. Graduates consistently demonstrate a high level of active engagement and achievement in their post-secondary programs of study.

These graduation requirements meet, and in many cases exceed, the entrance requirements of the University of California system, Ivy League colleges, and other selective schools. Students on modified programs may receive a diploma if minimum California state coursework requirements are met.

Explanation of Credits
The Sacramento Waldorf School uses a mixed term schedule. The Carnegie unit is used as a basis for the course credit assignments; 10 credits = 1 unit (year) of course work. Credits are awarded as follows:
- Main Lessons (intensive Blocks/various subjects): 5 (105 min) periods per week/3.3 credits per class
- Quarter Courses (English, Art, Civics): 4 periods per week/ 2.5 credits per quarter
- Semester Courses (Music, World Language, Math, US History, Electives): 5 credits per semester
- Atypical Courses (Health, Computer Science, Seminars): 1-2 credits per class
