Explanation of Credits
Many major subjects in the curriculum (Humanities, and some Math and Science), are organized into periods of four-week concentrated study called "Main Lesson" blocks. Credits are given according to the length of the block as follows:
3 week block = 2.5 credits
4 week block = 3.3 credits
Ongoing "Track" classes include Mathematics, Science, English, Foreign Language, Art, History, Study Skills, Music, Computer Technology, and Movement; and are given credit as follows:
One period 2x/week = 2.0 semester credits or 4.0 per year
One period 4x/week = 5.0 semester credits or 10.0 per year
Double period 2x/week = 5.0 semester credits or 10.0 per year
