What Your Gift Means to SWS
Sacramento Waldorf School’s development team is focused on supporting the school’s mission, to prepare students to realize their highest potential as free human beings, by increasing awareness, building community and developing relationships to provide the resources to enable our School to provide a rich and varied Waldorf education.
The development team is keenly interested in the sustainability of Sacramento Waldorf School. As an ongoing process, we improve and build from year to year, with success measured not only by dollars raised but also by the number of new friends and supporters who become donors and event participants. Particularly in independent school communities, the parent body bears a major portion of the financial responsibility through tuition. However, it is essential that a broad network of friends from the wider community continue to support the school.
Gifts come to the school in many forms, including volunteer support of many programs and events, in-kind donations of materials and equipment, donations of items and sponsorship at our annual fundraising events (Annual Auction, Waldorf Cup), participation in our Scrip Program, strategic estate planning, cash gifts to the Annual Giving, Capital Campaigns, or the Endowment. Each and every one of these generous gifts of time, talent, and treasure is important to the financial and social well-being of the school and its community, and each is deeply appreciated.
